The family that exercises together enjoys life more!


 
We have never been a super active family, we spend a lot of time together but the focus has never been on being active together.   This has changed so much in the last couple months.  Walks, playing basketball at the Y, playing at the playground, the girls joining in during my workouts, etc.  has completely changed how we live our lives day to day. 

Why is working out with your family so important? 
  • It keeps your family healthy!  I mean, this should be a given, but it is still so important!

  • It teaches your little ones how important being active is and how it impacts our health!  We have a lot more conversations about why we are so active and the girls are really starting to realize how important it is.  I hope this means that it will continue into their adult lives.

  • We enjoy life more!  I find we are happier the more active we are.  It is fun to be active and our general energy levels are better as parents which means more fun with our kids!
Everyone has their own mode of transportation!
  • We eat healthier and in turn feel better.  I used to think that eating bad didn't negatively effect how I felt but four months later, I can tell you this is not the case!  We feel amazing and our food choices reflect this change.

One of the best outcomes of Pat and I becoming healthier is seeing a huge change in our children too!  So, get off the couch, get outside, and start enjoying life!
